Ruth Philo is a contemporary painter based in Suffolk whose abstract work explores colour, light, and surface through an embodied response to place and walking. She holds an MA in Fine Art from Norwich University of the Arts and a BA in History of Art from the University of Warwick.

Working with hand-mixed pigments across canvas, linen, wood, and paper, her layered paintings invite quiet reflection. Ruth exhibits internationally, has been supported by Arts Council England and the British Council, and is a member of Contemporary British Painting.
